Leslie Saris studied architecture and fine art at the University of Southern
California. After graduating in 1996, she immediately began to design and create
art for both commercial and residential spaces.
Leslie grew up and continues to live in Southern California where she has
created a large body of work
using several innovative techniques. She views
her diverse collection as a holding place for her thoughts and energy while
striving to place abundant strength into the process of creating art so that
it will speak to and entice the viewer.
Leslie's oil paintings have been described as both complex and seductive.
Her strong interaction of structure and color reflect her academic background.
She honors her love of Old World architecture by giving a patina to her
modernistic work. Delightful visual surprises abound in the adventuresome
juxtaposition of the abstract with the real. She mixes soft and bold colors
and textures
as if she were dressing your walls with beautiful fabrics.
Leslie has received numerous awards and her paintings have been
displayed in various galleries throughout Southern California.
Her paintings have been showcased in publications including: San Diego
Home and Garden, Angeleno,
Better Homes and Gardens,
Home Magazine,
DIY Better Homes Spring 2005, and the book, Better Homes and Gardens
Real Life Decorating. In addition, Leslie's paintings are displayed in many
hotels, restaurants, spas, cooperate and private collections throughout the
United States and can be selected at vision arts art selects for plasma
